Job Description
o Demonstrate deep technical knowledge in the areas of big data, BI, data warehousing and cloud computing. Have a good understanding of data security, data retention, clustering, scalability and performance
o Ability to comprehend architecture and design strategies, and implement using market leading tools and technologies
o Demostrate technical competence in large-scale data processing, specifcally Hadoop
o Demonstrate efficiency on at least of the following technology stacks: Pivotal, Cloudera, Hortonworks
o Produce efficient software code for complex use cases with optimum unit and integration tests
o Demonstrate knowledge of commonly used configuration management, build and deployment tools
o Contribute in planning, estimation and low level designing exercises using agile development methodologies
o Collaborate with geographically distributed teams in multiple time zones, with various work cultures
Job Requirements
Must have:
o 10
years overal software development and testing experience (JEE preferred) with a success track record
o 3
years experience in Big Data projects, using Hadoop based technologies
o 3
years experience using one of the following technology stacks: Pivotal, Cloudera, Hortonworks
o 6
years experience in at least one RDBMS (Oracle or IBM/DB2 preferred) and one NoSQL (MongoDB preferred) databases
o Proven expertise on producing quality software code using Test Driven Development (XP) techniques
o Knowledge of Analytics tools - following preferred: SAS, R, Tableau, Quilkview
o Deep knowledge of structured and procedural SQL and tuning
o Ability to work with technical teams on the client side in multisite, multi-vendor development environments
Preferable:
o Experience in areas of database architecture, design and performance enhancements
o Experience in Real Time data analytics tools, such as Spark, Storm
o Experience in EDW and connectors
o Demonstrated core development competence of successful large data projects in automotive or telecom sector
