The Business Analyst serves as the liaison between business units and the Technology team. They define business system requirements and coordinate small- to mid-sized projects and/or tasks. Business Analysts must be excellent communicators, tactful diplomats, problem solvers, thinkers and analyzers, with the ability to understand and respond to user needs in a rapidly changing business environment.

Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and recreate problems
Perform complex analysis of large data sets and disseminate relevant information across teams
Articulate and effectively write business requirements
Formulate and define system scope and objectives
Write and execute test plans, including functional and regression testing
Peer review documented requirements and test plans
Work with project managers to establish project standards
Provide end-user training
Provide accurate and timely/proactive updates for status of tasks and projects
Work with IT or business partners to resolve production issues that may arise
Requirements
Associate or bachelor's degree, mortgage lending work experience or equivalent IT work experience
Two years of experience in the mortgage business with working knowledge of mortgage originations, servicing, loss mitigations and loan modifications
Experience producing high-level functional or operational requirement documentation
Experience managing client expectations, implementing service improvement initiatives and communicating effectively with project team and management
Knowledge of process development, with the ability to learn, and understand technical concepts in order to interpret, document and formalize procedures
Experience working with the development lifecycle and other software development methodologies, basic SQL and data analysis
Experience with integrated system testing, QA testing and user acceptance testing
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite
Ability to handle aggressive deadlines and set appropriate expectations on complex business opportunities
Preferred
Two years of supporting aspects of MSP servicing platform and related products
Two years of varied experience in information technology
Two years of demonstrated experience in a technical Business Analyst position
Experience with other Microsoft technologies
Experience with loan servicing or mortgage lending
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
