About the General Motors Global Sales and Marketing IT team:
The General Motors Information Technology (GMIT) - Dealer Website technology team plays an integral role in the 'New' GM, working alongside our business partners to identify and document the strategic vision, product roadmap and user stories using agile techniques. In addition, our team acts as a liaison between the user community and the IT development and operations support teams.
GMIT's US Dealer Website team works alongside the business partners, other GMIT groups, external vendors and other stakeholders to lead and manage transformation projects for our dealers and customers. We provide systems to sell and service vehicles with more than 4,000 dealers in the United States. Our team works with stakeholders and dealers to optimize solutions and maximize GM's technology investments.
About the role:
The GM US Dealer Website Business Analyst would work closely with GMIT colleagues and GM business process owners to map process/technology gaps within the dealer environment. They will use their expertise to translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories. They will identify and develop both process and solutions to meet the business objectives and be able to communicate those requirements to the Global Brand & Regional Development team. These solutions will be both dealer and customer facing. Successful implementation of solutions will result in improvements across the entire sales and shopping experience and will directly address customer experience strategies.
As a Business Analyst (BA), you will work side-by-side with business process owners and key stakeholders to identify opportunities, elicit business requirements, analyze and evaluate solutions options, write user stories, document requirements, deliver business value, and develop future strategy. To be successful, you must be customer focused be able to clearly define and communicate business needs, and be personally driven to improve the business.
Responsibilities:
Lead requirements elicitation and documentation for one or more projects (small to medium)
Employ various techniques to gather requirements
Troubleshoot problems and resolve issues
Develop strategies for long-term business functionality execution and support
Develop a thorough understanding of business processes, best practices, and available supporting technology and service providers.
Develop business process models, business requirements/user stories (functional and non-functional) and product backlog for the business processes
Work with the business community to ensure comprehensive user acceptance testing/training plans are developed/executed and application is successfully transitioned into production
Investigate and learn business issues and data challenges of business
Support IT Strategy Development
Serve as the liaison between the business community and the Architecture teams, SDC and Sustain teams through which requirements flow
Assist Business with Problem and Incident Management
Responsible for project business value/return on investment
Qualifications
Minimum
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related
5 - 7 year experience with IT Project Execution
Demonstrated in-depth understanding of Business Process fundamentals; including requirements elicitation, stakeholder collaboration, effective and timely communications, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated strength in critical skills such as collaboration, written and oral communications, and analytical capability
Planning, negotiation and facilitation skills
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple initiatives without direct supervision.
In-depth understanding of business issues and data challenges of the organization and industry as a whole
Demonstrates critical skills such as collaboration, strong written and verbal communication skills and analytical capability.
Strong time management skills
Preferred
Qualifications:

Master's degree in Business, IT, or related
Experience in IT project management, requirements definition, process definition, testing, and IT strategy and roadmap development.
Expertise in utilizing requirements tools
Experience with GM Dealer technology footprint
Development experience
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Deep domain / business process knowledge (multi-industry preferred)
PMP Certified
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification
Strong Communication (verbal and writing) and analytical skills
