Worldwide chemical manufacturer seeks a Plant Manager for its Detroit area TPU plant.
Requires minimum ten years of experience in manufacturing and a minimum of seven
years of increasing people leadership with P&L responsibility, preferably in a
manufacturing environment. Experience compounding thermoplastics via extrusion
processes, including hands-on process engineering and project engineering
experience highly preferred. Bachelor's Degree in Technical discipline is required.
Advanced technical degree in Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or Polymer
Science/Engineering is preferred. Experience with DMA, TGA, DSC, & FTIR test
methods is preferred, as is experience with DCS systems and safety instrumented
systems. Must have experience with applying continuous improvement techniques such
as lean, six sigma, and problem solving techniques (A3, 5Y, 8D). Salary starts at
$115,00 but significantly higher if you have the right credentials and experience in
addition to 20% bonus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
