JAWOOD is seeking a Benefit Analyst.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1. Assist leadership with resolution of problems; conduct special assignments as requested and prepare reports and/or analysis, documenting results with recommendations to management.
2. Assist with the design, development, modification, testing, implementation and maintenance of assigned systems and/or products.
3. Troubleshoot problems in assigned areas and submit recommendations. May be required to interface with other internal and external areas to resolve problems.
4. Compile and analyze data and produce routine/non-routine reports.
5. Assists in communication needed for quality, training or desk level changes. Assists in the assessment of new policies and procedures. Provides guidance on the development of department documentation.
6. Performs testing endeavors such as system updates, new product implementations, and conversion and report enhancements on behalf of the department.
7. Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
1. High school graduate or GED equivalent. Two (2) years of college preferred.
2. One (1) to three (3) years experience in a health administration setting with an emphasis on provider related activities (eg. provider data systems, provider registration, provider contracting, provider servicing, and provider contracting support) required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Prefer basic knowledge of Portico, Facets and/or Emptoris
2. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software (Access, Excel, and Word) required. Advanced knowledge preferred.
3. Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze data to identify root causes, significant trends and viable solutions required.
4. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
5. Must be well organized, motivated, self-starter with excellent time management skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
