Assist with creating SQL server environment complete with administrative policies, procedures and documentation
Incident and problem resolution
Monitor performance, space, backups, availability and resources, and size of physical database objects to support ongoing capacity management and promote continuous service
Periodic Recovery Testing
Apply maintenance and corrective service for database products and associated DBMS products and tools
Data load and Refresh
Data archival and purging
Perform database system-level database backup and recovery
Perform database system-level space management and monitoring
Run Database system level reorganizations, statistics and other applicable utilities to ensure proper database function and performance
Perform automated startup and shutdown of the production database (this does not include business applications)
Execute Object DDL to create database objects (i.e., tables, indexes, packages)
Move database objects between physical structures (i.e., development to production)
Maintain database security accesses at database and object level
Setup and retain use of DBMS System Administration ID & privileges
Manage database transaction logs (active and inactive)
Provide monthly reporting statistics as required
Other duties as assigned
24 x 7 On-call availability for emergency support
Occasional evening and weekend work to perform maintenance and upgrades
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
IT Professional with 5
year's industry experience.
Previous experience architecting, installing, migrating and maintaing a SQL database.
3
years' experience with SQL Server database administration and maintenance (2005 and 2008).
Working knowledge of a virtual environment and SAN storage solutions.
Strong hands-on aptitude in performing administration functions such as installations and configurations, creating databases, backups and restores, and database migration
Ability to research new products, tools, methodologies, and standards related to all aspects of the database environment and its security, and make recommendations
o SQL, T-SQL and SSIS queries
o Index creation and rebuilds
o Triggers, views and stored procedures
Ability to develop trend and analysis reports indicating database growth and load to anticipate storage, CPU and memory needs
Experience in database optimization and performance tuning including:
Practical experience in managing the internal and external MS SQL database security
Expert knowledge of database recovery models including Mirroring, Clustering and Log Shipping
Excellent leadership skills.
Good decision-making skills and initiative in solving problems.
Additional Preferred Qualifications :
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MSDBA)
SQL Server 2005/2008 certification (Microsoft MCDBA and/or MCSE)
Oracle 10g/11g familiarity
Demonstrated Linux/Unix experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
