Our client, an international materials engineering company with global operations has an immediate opening for a Controller / Cost Accountant reporting to the CFO. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years in a senior leadership role with financial oversight for multi-location manufacturing plants.
The Controller will:
Have primary responsibility for:
Inventory
Cost of material, labor, & overhead sold
Sales and sales contras
Prepare monthly financial statements & ad hoc financial analyses
Analyze profitability of existing & new products and breakeven analyses
Have an understanding and use of MRP/ERP/PC systems
Operate LIFO/FIFO treatments
Develop & maintain master files of standard unit costs for inventory RM, WIP & FGs PPVs & variances
Work closely with the CFO to translate lean process improvement and marketing initiatives of the company's business units into dollars & sense
Maintain manufacturing metrics along with key performance indicators
Support CFO in preparation of annual financial plans & periodic forecasts
Review capital expenditure proposals and prepare analysis and payback justification
Oversight of fixed assets
Prepare account reconciliations and year-end work papers as needed
Perform all other functions as assigned
Education and/or Experience
BS Accounting
Minimum 10 years industrial manufacturing experience
CMA, CGMA, CPA and/or Lean Manufacturing Green Belt
Developed cost accounting systems thru implementation of a computerized cost system
Specific Job Skills
Ability to produce and interpret financial reports drawn from AS400 and PCs
Perform job costing on existing and new contracts by the company's business units
Skilled in mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical analysis systems
Skilled in communicating financial data with clarity to management personnel.

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS TO BE SELECTED FOR AN INTERVIEW FOR THIS ROLE:
Bottom Line Requirements:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related.
2. 10
years of accounting or finance experience in industrial manufacturing.
3. CMA, CGMA, CPA or Lean Manufacturing Green Belt.
4. Experience in a company doing $20 milliion to $60 million in revenue.
