Cobalt, a division of CDK is seeking an Web Content Team Manager
The Content Team Manager is expected to provide supervision, direction, and professional development for a functional team of people to deliver on our Dealer Services OEM SLA's and Tier 2 content changes.
Key responsibilities will include: SLA and productivity goal management, resource assignment and load balancing, adherence to support/service strategies, objectives and goals, process improvement, mentoring and supervision of team, conducting performance appraisals, providing on-going training, liaison within the Services organization and other key departments, and act as an escalation resource.
The Content Team Manager works actively with team members, Account Advocates, and Customers to deliver first class website design alterations to existing websites. This role may also function as a back up to the Sr. Manager and/or Sr. Group Manager when needed. The Content Team Manager will be responsible for maintaining and improving functional processes and providing training when necessary.
The Team Manager will also be the primary point of contact for functional system or process questions, resources, and implementation tasks. The Team Manager is highly organized, articulate, detail-oriented, has a highly developed understanding of project management processes and best practices, business acumen, and is comfortable leading and delegating tasks within a cross-functional team structure.
The Content Team Manager position requires outstanding communication skills including translating customer ideas and preferences into website requirements. Further, the Content Team Manager should have the ability to work hands on with a dynamic team of creative professionals with a focus on optimizing their various talents, hands on coaching, mentoring and development into roles that best suit the needs of the organization. A successful candidate should also possess a proven track record of creative problem solving and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
Coaching and General Management:
Provide guidance to team members through regular one-on-one meetings, team meetings, quarterly and annual performance goals and reviews as well as coaching and development to assist with career mastery
Document and deliver timely performance and behavior feedback while taking appropriate disciplinary actions as required.
Manage, monitor and shift resources where necessary as well as determine staffing, recruiting, and hiring needs to achieve productivity goals and OEM SLA's
Ensure management of the teams including effectively communicating process, policies, performance, quality expectations, technical and product updates, as well as department and company information.
Process Improvement
Recommend and/or manage on-going process improvement efforts and change relating to Content Management process and strategy.
Act as a sounding board to test new ideas and process improvements prior to rolling them out or incorporating them in the Content Team workflow.
Assist with documentation control, delivery, and training.
Projects/Visibility
Act as an escalation point while managing and implementing results on special projects as assigned providing full and accurate communication with the internal and external clients/vendors on action items and progress.
Provide feedback and direction to Services and other internal teams to support launch and integration efforts for new products and processes.
Analyze and resolve issues that have the potential to jeopardize the ability to meet agreed upon deliverables.
Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external clients to reassess and amend the scope of work requirement and timeline

Escalation/Administrative
Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for Content Team and external teams on issues relating to content management process.
Respond professionally, patiently, logically and quickly to requests or questions received in person, via the phone or via email from both internal and external customers.
Consistently complete weekly status reports and monthly team reports to use for goal management.
Functional Team Responsibilities
Maintain working knowledge in order to sufficiently support and accurately represent the assigned job family (Content Mangement, Web Builder).
Work with FS Leadership team on strategic and proactive management of the Implementation, Fulfillment and Content programs.
Actively participate in the research and communication of industry trends and standards for web design, project management and operational systems to support department direction.
Proven ability in leading, coaching, and mentoring to align team and individual performance to business strategies and goals.
Strong understanding of operational processes.
Strong ability to identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements, assist with the creation, implementation and maintenance of new processes.
Experience developing project-specific and high-level milestone deliverable master plans to meet defined business objectives.
Strong ability to be highly proactive in overcoming obstacles to project success.
Experience working with groups across different functions with the ability to use judgment and problem solving to make decisions.
Strong writing, mentoring, negotiation, communication, and meeting facilitation skills.
Exceptional written, verbal communications and work organization skills.
Demonstrated understanding of Internet marketing methodologies (organic search and paid marketing) preferred.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and manage internal and external expectations on project requirements to deliver complex solutions to external clients.
Proven ability to manage and complete tasks according to assigned timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Proven time management skills; must be able to work independently and handle multiple ongoing tasks with rapidly changing priorities.
Working expertise of MS Office suite of products, including Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint required.
Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, Photoshop, JavaScript and web design concepts is preferred.
Knowledge of Internet software, including but not limited to Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome.
Knowledge of Adobe product suite (specifically Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Acrobat) or other design software preferred.
Expert working knowledge of Cobalt's products and OEM standards and guidelines is preferred.
Subject matter expert in the management and deployment of Cobalt product solutions, with automotive retailing experience a plus.
PREVIOUS SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE DESIRED
