Job Description:
Promote and enforce a safe work environment and safe work practices for all trade contractors and the overall construction site. Supervise and coordinate various contractors to ensure their contracts are fulfilled on schedule, in accordance with plans and specifications, while ensuring a quality product for the owner.
Position is the mastery level of a stand-alone superintendent, managing day-to-day operations and complex issues at the jobsite unaided and mentoring the jobsite to excel.
EDUCATIONAL/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Typically 10 years experience in construction industry with relevant project site experience and 5 years of direct supervision
REQUIRED TRAINING / CERTIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENT:
OSHA 30-hour
First Aid/CPR Certification
Storm Water Certification
RECOMMENDED TRAINING / CERTIFICATIONS:
Associates or Bachelor Degree

Responsibilities:
Field Operations
Enforce corporate safety policies on jobsite, providing key responsibility for safety compliance in the field.
Supervise, coordinate and sequence contractors' work to minimize interference between various contractors on the project
Observe and interface with contractors or trades to monitor work performance and productivity of trades
Enforce compliance with project schedule
Ensure project rules and procedures are maintained and check progress and quality of work being performed
Enforce contractors' responsibilities and scope of work
Implement emergency crisis procedures
Oversee creation and completion of punchlist process
Assist with timely closeout of contractors
Assist with obtaining owner acceptance of the project
Enforce and interpret codes relevant to project type and relating to contract documents
Enforce use of means and methods, materials and equipment to project team
Monitor and support trade harmony, including jurisdiction compliance with local practice
Negotiate conflicts between trades
Manage owner equipment coordination process
Facilitate Mechanical/Electrical overhead coordination or BIM process
Implement proactive pre-task safety planning for all work activities
Coordinate project check/test/start and commissioning activities
Verify that approved products are being installed on site
Planning
Develop site logistics plans for entire project to maximize productivity and minimize impacts to building occupants
Initiate setup of project schedule and creation of activities and logic. Maintain project schedule through updates, implementing logic modifications, and adding activities. Work with contractors to adjust logic to obtain schedule advantages.
Prepare manpower projections and evaluate potential re-sequencing/leveling to avoid unnecessary peaks or coordinate with available labor pool
Prepare constructability reviews to determine completeness of documents; review details for buildability
Initiate set up of jobsite, including mobilization of trailer and setup of field processes
Be involved in any value analysis/engineering efforts

Bottom Line Requirements:
1. 10 years experience in commercial or industrial construction including large projects.
2. 5 years of direct supervisory experience on large projects in commercial or industrial construction.
3. OSHA 30-hour and Storm Water Certification or ability to obtain.
