DMC has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated Construction Superintendent with 7
years of experience of direct supervision on construction projects.
This position will be focused on work in the Metro Detroit area.
Overview:
The selected Construction Superintendent will be responsible to oversee and coordinate all activities of the construction site according to the project blueprints and established schedule.
Major duties include coordinating subcontractors, performing quality control and safety checks, and providing onsite direction when preparing constructions sites.
Roles and Responsibilities Manage a team, work schedules, progress, and resource allocation Assist in cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to determine budget and timeline Coordinate material and equipment deliveries with vendors and suppliers Enforce quality control program and manage quality expectations with subcontractors Oversee safety program to eliminate onsite safety incidents Collaborate in creating schedules for workers and subcontractors Maintain daily log for the job site operation Enforce schedule, quality, and safety protocols Education / Experience Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field OR equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years of direct supervision of commercial construction projects (commercial TI's/core & shell buildouts, municipal buildings, etc) Applicable OSHA training courses and annual certifications as required Other Skills/Abilities Ability to communicate effectively with project team and Owner/Architect Ability to work well with others Ability to work under pressure and while meeting time requirements Possess strong attention to detail Must have a valid driver's license Experience with Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and P6 is preferred but not required Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$85,000.
