Systems Engineer
Insight Global is looking for a Systems Engineer to place direclty at a leading automotive suplier in Detroit, MI.
This person will be writing, gathering, and negotiating requirements from the customer for the power electronics/electrification group within the driveline organization.
You will be tracking prototype builds, reviewing DDP&R, reviewing drawings, and tracking project expectations.
Additional Responsibilities include:
Interfaces with customer representatives throughout the product development cycle to gather requirements, ensure design meets the requirement, and gain approval to use the design in production.
Achieves product engineering operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements.
Meets product engineering financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Leads peer reviews of various product development projects; delivers technical presentations to various stakeholders and participates in various additional technical reviews throughout the product development cycle.
Tracks product engineering project accomplishments by comparing outcomes to plans; summarizing results; keeping management informed.
Utilizes state of the art CAE tools and methods to drive the subsystem design, and Matlab/Simulink for 1D CAE concept creation, parameters and sizing.
Utilizes DOORS for requirements management.
Completes product engineering projects by directing and approving design and modification activities.
- ASPICE - Experience with power electronics / electrification- Experience with electrical hardware or ECUs or EMCs or EDUs- Matlab/Simulink or CAE tools- 3
years of experience writing and gathering requirments o Must be able to write requirments from scratch - 3
years of experience with DOORS (would consider PTC Integrity) - Bachelors Degree ME/EE or related field - Experience in the automotive industry Recommended Skills Automotive Industry Finance Matlab Presentations Product Design Prototyping Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
