Confidential Confidential Detroit, MI Detroit, MI Full-time Full-time $55,000 - $65,000 a year $55,000 - $65,000 a year We are currently seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team.
As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for day-to-day HR functions, providing excellent customer service to employees and leaders and serving as the site point of contact for leaves, employee relations, engagement activities, employee communication, and compliance.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in day-to-day HR activities, is an effective team player, and enjoys working in a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES Communicate, implement, and interpret HR policies and practices to ensure fair and consistent administration.
Observe and analyze the execution of practices, identify problem areas, and facilitate change.
Strengthen employee relations by actively listening and appropriately responding to employee concerns on time and by initiating proactive and effective processes.
Provide useful information and effective advice to employees and supervisors on HR matters.
Contribute to employee engagement through active listening, employee recognition, and employee events.
Manage and process forms, employee files and other site HR-related documentation.
Create an environment that fosters loyalty, learning, trust, diversity and inclusion, and equal opportunity.
Demonstrate initiative, project management skills, and attention to detail while maintaining a high degree of accuracy in a high-volume, fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
Communicate, collaborate, and network with all levels of employees, HR colleagues, and management.
Ensure the integrity and quality of all information produced.
Represent the site needs in HR planning and discussions.
Lead implementation of corporate HR programs, policies, and communications.
Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management and/or 3 to 5
years of HR experience supporting high-performance work teams in a manufacturing environment Good working knowledge of HR/employment law and practices Excellent verbal and written communication skills High emotional intelligence and comfort working with employees at all levels and with diverse backgrounds Familiarity with HRIS applications Comfortable with Microsoft Office Good time and information management, with attention to detail PHR or SPHR certification a plus but not required Job Type:
