JOB SUMMARY The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for the daily receiving and verifying inbound quantities and quality of products.
This role requires strong attention to detail, clear/concise communication skills, and a proven record of effective analysis of inventory variances and directing put away.
RESPONSIBILITIES Track sales and trends while balancing current inventory requirements.
Monitor and analyze inventory levels of assigned product lines in order to meet customer requirements and market conditions.
Order/procure assigned product lines, typically non-specialty items.
Input daily buy sheet.
Analyze potential shortages, provide guidance as to sales volume.
Communicate with Vendors via email and phone to resolve problems that arise.
General Office tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Strong math and analytical skills, including sales projections and shipping demands.
Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to make rational decisions.
Ability to determine quality vs.
cost.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and have strong attention to detail.
Self-motivated.
Food Industry experience a plus.
