Job Summary
Supports strategy development, analysis and planning for Customer Service and Economic Development; supports / participates in strategic projects, working with cross-functional groups across the Company, preparing and (occasionally) delivering key presentations to the leadership team. Activities may include modeling, forecasting, developing analyses and models based on operational, economic and financial data; competitor analyses and data-bases assessments of Company or area operational activities. Span of control = 0; this is an individual contributor job.
Key Accountabilities
Provide support in developing strategy presentations for the leadership team.
Analyze the strategic, operating and financial impacts of internal business proposals. Develop recommendations and associated business cases in response to these proposals.
Develop models to support the planning process, as well as business cases for projects/investments.
Support and/or lead cross-functional teams to investigate, analyze and make recommendations to leadership on current strategic or operational issues.
Participate in the development of organizational scorecards and the creation of operating plans.
Serve as an internal consultant to the business unit, as required to support the overall strategy.
Research and prepares internal and external communications and presentations for leadership.
Qualifications
MINIMUM: Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, economics, finance or engineering and the knowledge/capabilities typically acquired through 3-plus years of job-relevant experience, inclusive of professional-level business functions.
PREFERRED: MBA or other related post-graduate degree; 5-plus years of experience; experience consulting.
Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills; communicates clearly, with credibility and confidence
Analytical & problem-solving skills consistent with the ability to identify key issues from a broad range of alternatives, and recommend optimal solutions for various situations
Ability to develop / coordinate cross-functional work groups and projects, yielding optimal outcomes
Flexibility & the ability to work with shifting priorities; embrace new/evolving responsibilities

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
