Medical Records Technician
This is an independent contractor position.
The subcontractor will receive a 1099 at the end of each year.
Work is based on available contracts which are subject to busy and slow times.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Travel to various medical provider sites around the state of Michigan to retrieve medical records - Help schedule your onsite appointments - Communicate project progress with Scanning Sherpas personnel - Interact with provider office staff and Scanning Sherpas personnel in a professional manner - Work with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets - Compensation is performance based Job requirements:
- Must reside in the state of Michigan and have the ability to travel around the state - Proficient with computers and other hardware (printers, scanners, flash drives) - Proficient with Microsoft Excel - Reliable car and willingness to travel around Michigan - Proficient in medical terminology and medical records - Proficient in learning new software programs quickly, specifically EHR, on the go without outside help - Incredibly professional, amiable and well-mannered in stressful situations - Meticulous and clean in the workplace - Excellent communicator in person, on the phone and via email - Must pass HIPAA and FWA training tests - Must pass a thorough criminal background check and a drug test - Strong cell and home internet connections Why You'll Love This Job:
