This GM Defense IT Technical Lead will be responsible for establishing a framework to help organize IT efforts and ensure compliance through repeatable, documented processes and reporting. The lead will be the go-to single of point of technical contact to the customer and internal IT teams on day to day issues. This lead will manage inhouse applications, manage operational health of the systems landscape and rapid triage to identify and engage impacted/responsible workstreams across a wide array of cross functional teams. For this GM position, we expect you to have advanced mastery to function independently for day to day tasks. The role requires working with several technical teams to rationalize throughput and sizing demand to define efficient and effective solutions that bring together technologies from all areas. In this position you will often be an assigned technical resource to numerous project teams simultaneously. You will be required to work with numerous teams and balance competing requests, while meeting project deadlines. Additional responsibilities might include monitoring, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and implementing corrective actions in support of continuing operations of the assigned domain. This GM Defense IT Technical lead role will be responsible for establishing a framework to help ensure streamlined IT functioning and compliance through repeatable, documented processes and reporting. This framework will include elements of knowledge articles, self-help tools, customer interactions, compliance assurance, patching and assist project deployments. This individual will need to bring a hands-on background in resolutions and identification of systemic issues to engage Enterprise Architects. The strongest candidate will bring a variety of professional experiences demonstrating their applied skillset to bring order and structure to enterprise level day to day challenges. This individual will be a critical thinker able to identify the best/right tools required to enable highly functioning teams. The role is accountable to work with project teams to develop robust system designs that meet the criteria for functionality, stability, performance, and resiliency to deliver effective IT solutions for our business. The role may also be called upon for escalation of real-time incidents. Core Responsibilities :
Work on numerous project teams, often as the sole system management engineer, to develop requirements, obtain information from other support groups, execute project tasks, deliver systems, and provide support through the lifecycle of the project Partner with the GM Defense enterprise architect to develop inhouse applications to streamline the IT processes conforming to cybersecurity controls Partner with GM Defense Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to serve as partner in the support of cleared systems Manage the operational health of Information Systems including patching, upgrades, and refreshes Continuously monitor, validate, and document implemented security controls. Implement audit strategy, including analytical review and reporting Develop suite of self-help tools, user guides, install guides and knowledge articles in support of Customer interactions and act as single point of technical contact for Customers Develop and operate suite of tools to manage the secure and operational health of the environment Host triage sessions to bring together cross-functional workstreams to troubleshoot and support identifying root causes Partner with GM Defense Enterprise Architect to address systemic issues and develop long term remediation tools and solutions Define and document manual and automated processes to keep integrity of the environment Additional Description Minimum
Qualifications:
Ability to secure US government clearance, as needed Experience in delivering IT systems in a professional/corporate environment Experience in developing applications Experience in security operations Experience in a specific architecture and technology space such as Java, .net, etc. Experience in server engineering tasks such as patching, installation etc. Preferred
Qualifications:
Knowledge of government cybersecurity requirements (CMMC or NIST 800-53).
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
