The Robotics Operational Readiness (ROR) team develops processes to deploy automation projects spanning a broad range of technologies:
Robotics, Mechatronics, Sortation, Packaging, Auto/semi-autonomous Mobility and Robotics Artificial Intelligence.
The deployment packages we develop help our partners in the Robotics Deployment Engineering (RDE) Team to deploy automation projects safely, efficiently, and at scale.
As an Operations Engineering New Product Integration (NPI) Intern, you'll work with the ROR team to identify, plan, and implement Continuous Improvement (CI) and transformational initiatives to drive step change in RDE (Robotic Deployment Engineering) deployment productivity, to enable increased capacity to deploy at scale.
This will involve collaboration with cross functional teams to baseline and understand current processes associated with new technologies in early development phases.
About the Program:
Full-time summer term:
40 hours per week / 12 weeks during summer of 2022 (May 23rd 2022 - August 12th 2022) The position is a corporate role but may require frequent travel to a Fulfillment Center, Sort Center, Delivery Station, or other warehouse environment / similar job site Candidates are provided with relocation assistance and must be able to relocate nationwide for the 12 week summer term.
Internship location is typically set by business need, however, we will also take candidate preference into consideration, primary locations are corporate sites in Seattle and Detroit but other regional offices will be considered.
Candidate must reside within a 45 mile radius from the site during the summer term.
This position may require some travel to a construction and/or job trailer environment.
Up to 50% travel may be required to support development and execution of projects throughout Amazon facilities in North America during the summer term A driver's license is required due to the remote nature of many internship locations.

Key job responsibilities Work with ROR to develop a benchmarking or continuous improvement project for existing technology or a new product in development Engage with cross-functional teams to solve complex, real-world robotic scalability problems.
Understanding and Benchmarking current process flows for new technologies through working with design and deployment teams Support onsite deployments to understand challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and measure process standards through field validation Develop scalable process flows for new products to enable teams to deploy at scale Prepare summaries and feedback to leadership team highlighting improvements in deployment efficiency and user experience Project status communications - including writing white papers, designing organizational communications, reporting metricsAbility to perform the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:
Stand and walk for up to 12 hours Walk in/around warehouses that may be over a quarter mile in length with great frequency Access all areas of building by ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely Regular bend, lift, stretch, and reach below the waist and above the head Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each Work weekends, holidays, and/or overnight shifts and overtime as required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
