Job summaryThe AWS Security Systems Engineering team operates tools and services for monitoring and responding to malicious activity on the Amazon internal network.
We collect data from all parts of Amazon's worldwide, service-oriented infrastructure.
We are looking for a Systems Engineer who is excited about operating and maintaining endpoint security solutions that solve challenging problems for mission critical systems that protect Amazon and our customer data.
In AWS Security our challenges are broad and deep -- we build, maintain, and manage flexible, secure, scalable, high-performance and robust tools and services.
You will help implement, operate, and improve current agent services as well as work with new features to improve the customer experience and make it easier/faster/cheaper for the customer to get what they need.

In this role, you will manage high quality, scalable agents that are deployed to our internal endpoints around the world.

On-Call ResponsibilityThis position involves on-call responsibilities.
We don't like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant.
When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don't get paged for the same issue twice.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
