Summary:
The Clinical Operations Manager will provide leadership and practice management of ambulatory operations.
The Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for the operational, financial, and managerial oversight of all clinical staff within the Hub or Clinic practice location.
Under direction, this role is responsible for building effective relationships and supporting corporate and departmental initiatives.
This position will be focused on maximizing the quality and efficiency of daily practice functions.

Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations workflow.
Plan and oversee the implementation of effective front office procedures including management systems, patient registration and appointment scheduling, assignment of clinical and consultative space, and billing collection services.
Plan and oversee the implementation of operational clinical staff policies and procedures including IT systems used in clinical office setting.
Develop and implement process improvement initiatives and customer satisfaction initiatives and provide follow up and metrics.
Supervision to include participation in recruitment, orientation, termination, performance counseling, education, clinical competencies, evaluation, and performance expectations of clinical staff.
Develop a team approach to patient care delivery in combination with Operations and Quality/ Patient Safety teams.
Participate in reviewing and updating clinical policies and procedures with Associate Director Operations.
Collect and report data on medical practice patterns including suite utilization, laboratory and procedure records, front office collections, and referring physicians.
In partnership with the Associate Director, implement expenditure levels and acts to ensure consistency with budgetary targets and goals.
Identify opportunities to maximize collections; reviews practice costs to identify patient-chargeable items.
Implement clinical staff/nurse duties pursuant to procedure, physician requirements and workload variables and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
Exercise sound judgment and intervenes with physicians when risk factors are identified.
Determines when facilities and personnel are not capable of managing a clinical procedure or emergency situation, serves as triage to initiate alternatives.
Determine appropriate training needs and ensures compliance with established and continued requirements for health care services.
Other related duties as assigned.
Education, Licensure/Certification, and Training:
Bachelor degree or equivalent education/work experience in physician office setting.
3 -5 years of experience in at least two of the following areas:
medical assistant, nursing, appointment scheduling, patient registration, medical records, charge entry and/or billing preferred.

years of supervisory experience of a clinical office.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong commitment to customer service and excellence in healthcare Proficient in MS Office, Excel and Word Positive attitude with an eye for detail Willing to travel to SE Michigan locations Demonstrates team experience, leadership skills, collaborative approach to solving problems and proven successes in implementation of team goals.
Must have strong organizational skills.
Effective communication methods and the ability to work with all levels of the organization.
Demonstrates ability to work within tight deadlines and timelines, with proven experience in meeting goals on time.
Safety Requirements:
Compliance with Department Health and Safety policies and procedures Working Conditions/Schedule:
40-hour work week, hours and days to be determined by the business needs of the department.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
