Within the Eastern or Central Time Zones The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) reports to the Director of Data Management and is an integral member of the Data Management Office.
For this role, the successful candidate will work with both business units and technical staff to improve procedures and processes on new and existing platforms, translate needs to business requirements, and assist in documenting system flow and procedures.
The BSA will also be a key member of the data conversion team for bank acquisitions, focusing on data mapping and identification of rule sets that will handed off to technical teams for development.
One of the objectives of this role would be to ensure that systems and platforms are being fully utilized to achieve operational efficiency.
The Analyst will use a variety of techniques and skills to ensure that processes, procedures and issues are adequately documented.
The BSA will proactively look for ways to improve efficiencies that will additively increase department scalability and throughput.
For the right candidate, there will be an opportunity to get involved with Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
The BSA will work on data management centric projects as directed by the Manager of the Data Management Office.
Experience working in a data related organization is required.
Experience writing business requirements and procedures will be necessary for this position.
The Business Systems Analyst will work closely with other team members of the Data Management Group, which includes the Data Integration team, Business Intelligence, and Data Governance/Data Quality.
The Analyst will also work with application vendors, the Bank's IT, and Operational Departments as needed.
It is expected that the Analyst will communicate effectively with other team members and management to deliver results in a timely fashion.
The successful candidate for this role will have 5 or more years working in a similar capacity with excellent communication skills.
Priority selection will be given to those with banking experience in an operations capacity.
Responsibilities Work with management to prioritize task and deliverables, assist with the development of Levels of Effort (LOE) and project scope.
Working with subject matter experts, the Business Systems Analyst will translate needs to business requirements with an emphasis on non-technical, business friendly terms and language.
Work with the data conversion team for bank acquisitions to ensure mapping from source to target systems is correct and that data transformation and translation rules are agreed upon and documented.
Provides assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures.
Writes and maintains functional specifications for new or modified business systems.
Working with more technical staff, assists with documenting system testing and deployment plans.
Assists with documenting system and application issues and root cause analysis.
Assists with system/platform testing.
Work with other data management team members to define and develop key system and platform metrics and performance measures.
Develop and maintain process and procedure documentation Contribute to High Level Design (HLD) documents Ensure timely delivery of status and issues reporting.
Working with more technical resources, diagram activity and data flows such as swim lane diagrams.
Depending on skills, experience and desire, plan and build out Robotic Process Automation (RPA) scripts using a dedicated RPA tool Identify and define new process improvement opportunities Education and Experience College Degree is required.
Proven working experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar position Exposure and experience with data management tools (including SQL) 5
years of professional experience Experience working in Financial Services is highly desired.
