Summary:
This role is a direct report to the on-site Welding Leader.
Are you interested in Steel production, Welding, and Robotics? Do you enjoy handling multiple tasks and working in a team environment? Welding Operators work to weld metal products using machines that employ Fanuc robots and equipment that inspect the standards of products presented to the highest nobility for production.
If any issues arise, they will refer to their supervisor with any outstanding inquiries to improve workflow.
Skills validation & employee evaluations can be completed every six months to evaluate knowledge and ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed.
Major
Responsibilities:
Inspect parts from Welding stations on the production floor, recording defects, making key decisions to pass/stop production, and building rapport with other operators (30% of daily activities) Make the daily production according to the performances required for each production line (20% of daily activities) Produce parts that are consistent with internal quality standards using control plan (20% of daily activities) Process adjustments, routine inspections, and quality tests through the ability to determine the best welding technique to perform duties in a safe, quality-oriented, and productive manner with reduced guidance (20% of daily activities) Inspect all incoming materials from suppliers for use in welding assembly and make reports into the quality system (10% of daily activities) Assist in root cause corrective action, containment, defective production, and maintenance support activities in accordance with business and internal regulations (As required) Participate in various levels of internal and external audits (As required) Make continuous improvement efforts through Kaizen work philosophy We are seeking candidates with the following
Qualifications:
Education - High School diploma or higher Previous experience in a production environment that demonstrates ability to learn multiple tasks is preferred Excellent record of attendance (willing to work overtime as needed) Ability to perform visual inspections, mechanical measurements, and calibration verifications (micrometers, calipers, etc.
