EXPLEO USA is looking for a Technical Publication Illustrator to join a dynamic and expanding team in Detroit, MI.
Are you a talented and creative professional with a passion for visual communication and technical writing? Do you have the ability to transform complex concepts into clear and engaging illustrations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Technical Illustrator! As a Technical Illustrator, you will play a pivotal role in creating visually appealing and informative content to support our technical documentation.
Your exceptional illustration skills, combined with your strong writing abilities, will help convey complex concepts and procedures to our audience effectively.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with subject matter experts and technical writers to understand complex technical concepts and procedures.
Create visually engaging illustrations, diagrams, and infographics using tools like 3DVIA Composer, Catia Composer, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Isodraw.
Develop a consistent visual style and formatting guidelines for illustrations to ensure cohesive and professional documentation.
Transform technical specifications, processes, and procedures into clear and concise visual representations.
Edit and refine existing illustrations to improve clarity, accuracy, and overall visual impact.
Ensure illustrations are accessible and user-friendly, considering different audience backgrounds and skill levels.
Review and provide feedback on written content to ensure accuracy and alignment with visual representations.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and techniques in technical illustration and graphic design.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate visuals effectively into documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, 3Dvia Composer, and other illustration tools.
3
years of experience in graphic design/technical illustration.
Strong portfolio showcasing diverse styles and proficiency in illustration tools.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in technical illustrations.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
