As an Automotive Technical Writer, you will be the driving force behind creating captivating and informative content that demystifies the inner workings of automobiles.
You'll have the unique ability to transform intricate technical jargon into digestible pieces that resonate with both automotive enthusiasts and everyday drivers alike.
Responsibilities:
Craft high-quality, comprehensive, and engaging content, including articles, guides, manuals, and FAQs, focused on automotive technology, repairs, maintenance, and industry trends.
Research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in automotive technology, industry regulations, and emerging trends.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and technicians to gather information and ensure accuracy in content creation.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly language for a wide range of audiences.
Develop and maintain a consistent tone and voice across all written materials, reflecting the brand's personality and values.
Edit and proofread content to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Optimize content for search engine optimization (SEO) to increase organic traffic and enhance discoverability.
Continuously improve existing content by incorporating user feedback and analytics insights.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher.
Certification in servicing and maintaining automotive vehicles is a plus.
Certification as a Technical Advisor in a workshop is a plus.
Experience working in Arbortext, Oxygen, or a similar Editor.
CMS (Content Management System) knowledge.
Proven experience working as a technical writer in the automotive domain.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
Proficient in English speaking and writing.
Knowledge of technical automotive vocabulary.
Minimum of 5
years of experience as a technical writer.
