Summary:
Under supervision from the Fox Facilities Maintenance Manager or Fox Maintenance Supervisor, Daytime Maintenance & Operations Colleagues perform custodial & housekeeping tasks, event set-ups and tear downs, and light maintenance tasks as assigned.
Occasionally, Daytime Maintenance & Operations Colleagues will support event-based activities for matinees and daytime private events.
Key
Responsibilities:

Working at the direction of Fox Leadership team to effectively complete assigned projects and tasks in a timely manner; with a high regard to quality that is consistent Olympia operating standards.

Perform daily general maintenance and detail-oriented janitorial tasks.

Meet with appropriate staff to outline tasks for the day/week.

Ensure the facility (and exterior) is adequately prepared prior to events based on specific event requirements communicated by the Fox Leadership team.
Custodial
Clean assigned areas of the facility, as directed, in accordance with all Olympia, CDC, and EPA standards.

Perform janitorial tasks including, but not limited to, cleaning and stocking restrooms, sweeping /mopping / buffing / vacuuming floors, dusting, trash removal, spot cleaning, and window washing.

Operate custodial power equipment (i.
e.
floor buffers, wet vacuums, large area vacuums, & carpet extraction machines, etc.
) safely & with minimal supervision.

Ensure that all equipment is cleaned, stored, and maintained appropriately, as directed.

Complete all job assignments and checklists each day with strong attention to quality of result.
Event Support
Assist with operational needs & requests of event vendors and partners to ensure facility readiness and smooth operation of events for all stakeholders.

Set up and take down portable chairs, pipe and drape, barricades, staging, tables, and other equipment for the successful execution of events.

Operate equipment, such as pallet jacks or other light power-driven equipment in support of deliveries and take out.

Assist with various department and organization projects and special assignments as needed.

Occasional event-based operational duties to support daytime public and private events (i.
e.
.
responding to custodial based radio calls, maintaining restrooms, between-event cleaning, trash management).

Assist with transporting of equipment from offsite storage as necessary.
Maintenance
Perform light maintenance repairs to seats, chairs, and event setup and cleaning equipment using hand and power tools.

Setup audio/visual and catering equipment as directed.

Assists with basic plumbing repairs, pressure washing, painting and general maintenance needs as required with the operations staff.

Document and report items in disrepair to Fox Maintenance Leaders that need to be addressed.
Supplemental Job Functions:

Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

A high school diploma or GED is required.

2-3 years hands-on experience in facility maintenance.

Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Seeking individuals with good interpersonal skills and an outgoing personality.

Ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.

Must read, write, and fluently communicate with others in English.

Must be able to pass criminal background check.

Report to work when scheduled, on time, in proper and clean uniform, including name tag.
Personal appearance and grooming must conform to OEI dress code.
Preferred Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Experience working in the sports and entertainment industry
Familiarity with blueprints/ floorplans /drawings a plus.

Trade skills, licenses, and certifications are preferred.
Working Conditions:

Daily lifting up to 50 lbs.

Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination.

Exposure to moderate - high noise level
Ability to work in dimly lit conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Frequent visual/auditory attention
