Job Description:
Under the direction of the cardiothoracic surgeon or anesthesiologist, sets up and operates the heart-lung machine, physiologic instrumentation and related ancillary equipment to provide cardiac support for patients undergoing open-heart or other thoracic surgical procedures where it is necessary to support or temporarily replace the patient's circulatory or respiratory function.
Maintains all equipment and supplies utilized in Perfusion services.
Qualifications:
1.
Graduate of accredited School of Perfusion Technology.
2.
Board-eligible or certified as a Cardiovascular Perfusionist by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
