Bachelor's Degree in education, social work, counseling or psychology Three (3) to five (5) years of educational experience Knowledge of the curriculum and program options Demonstrated ability to plan and execute effectively Social Emotional Learning experience Position Description:
The Scholar Support Specialist will provide support to scholars, parentsand school staff through the support and development of Intervention Plans and/or restorativestrategies that will remove the social and emotional barriers.
Position
Responsibilities:
Develop creative interventions for scholars as part of the restorative resolution.
Consult with the building administration to determine appropriate disciplinary steps are taken.
Supports school-wide systems in conjunction with scholar expectations and appropriate responses to scholar behavior.
Provide ongoing restorative practices professional development to staff with support from building administration.
Consistently use language that supports the use of restorative practices to foster a community where it is being used at school as well as at home.
Teach scholars techniques for resolving conflict.
Communicate regularly with families, educators, and administrators.
Coach scholars and educators on how to participate in meaningful restorative conversations.
Plan, schedule, and facilitate conflict resolution and restorative circles between scholars within 24 hours of initial report Facilitate reset conversations with scholars pulled out of class in order to return them to the learning environment as soon as possible Maintain accurate records of conflict resolution, agreements, and commitment letters Maintain accurate groupings and records and other scholars behavior platforms Maintain accurate records of scholar intervention plans that are accessible to families and teaching team Facilitate team meetings to help design Intervention Plans that address classroom behavior and social skills Engage families in scholar intervention plans Adhere to the District's and School's policies, expectations, and protocols as outlined in the District's Policies and procedures Manual and School's Policies and Procedures Manual.

Physical Requirements:
Light Work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects; Frequent standing, stooping, bending,pushing and pulling.
Terms of Employment:
Salary benefits shall be paid consistent with the District's approvedcompensation plan.
Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those establishedby the District.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated by the School Principal in accordance withprovisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
