Essential functions (job duties):
Job DescriptionThe Department of Technology, Information Systems and Analytics at Wayne State University's Mike Ilitch School of Business is seeking to fill a tenure-track faculty position for Fall 2024Teach undergraduate/graduate or doctoral level courses in Technology, Information Systems and Analytics, typical tenure track teaching load is 2+2Manage assessment and Student progress with a Learning Management System (Canvas).
Maintain and adapt curriculum that is current, effective, and appropriate to course and program competencies.
Instruct students in a classroom, online, and/or hybrid setting.
Conduct research suitable for publication in top tier journalsUnique dutiesQualificationsThe TISA department is building a portfolio for the future of technology.
The preferred candidate can teach courses in two or more of the following broad areas, shown alphabetically:
Business Analytics and Data Sciences (Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML), Quantum Computing, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Mobile Development, Visualization, Technical MIS courses)Cybersecurity (Network security, IoT, AI Security, Risk Analysis and Assessment, Privacy and Security).
Digital Reflections and Integration (Blockchain, Cloud Computing Technology, Social Media Research Platforms, Website development solutions).
Immersive Technologies (Augmented Reality, Extended Reality, Virtual Reality, Internet of Things (IoT), Metaverse, Robotics Process Automation, Edge Computing).
Desirable education and experienceA Ph.

required in Information Systems, Analytics, Decision Sciences, or a related field from an AACSB-accredited business school.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
