We are currently seeking a dedicated Food Purchasing and School Menu Planning Agent to oversee our school's food service program.

Summary:
Food Purchasing and School Menu Planning Agent, you will be responsible for creating nutritious and appealing meal plans, managing food purchases, and ensuring compliance with state and federal nutritional guidelines.
Your role will be crucial in promoting healthy eating habits among our students.
Key
Responsibilities:
Design and implement weekly and monthly menu plans that are nutritious, balanced, and appealing to students.
Ensure menus meet the dietary requirements and preferences of a diverse student body, including considerations for allergies, religious dietary laws, and vegetarian options.
Manage the purchasing of all food items and kitchen supplies, ensuring quality products while staying within budget constraints.
Coordinate with local vendors and suppliers to source fresh and sustainable ingredients.
Work closely with schools to ensure all meals meet the required nutritional standards.
Regularly evaluate meal plans for nutritional value, taste, and variety, making adjustments as necessary.
Oversee inventory management and ensure proper storage of food items.
Collaborate with school administrators to address any food-related concerns and feedback from students and parents.
Stay updated with federal, state, and local regulations regarding school meals and ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
3 years of food purchasing and school meal planning experience.
Proficiency in excel platform.
Proven experience in menu planning, food purchasing, and kitchen management, preferably in a school environment.
Strong knowledge of nutritional guidelines and dietary needs for children.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and vendors.
Strong budget management and negotiation skills.
Preferred experience working with vendors such as GFS and Van Eerden Preferred Certification in food safety and handling.
