is a demolition and construction services company looking for an Estimator for our Detroit, MI office.
We provide structural and interior demolition services and, site preparation for large and small buildings.

Ideal candidates would be those who have a thorough knowledge related to demolition and estimating.
If you have work in an estimating role at a large General Contractor, you would most likely have the skill sets we are looking for.
Being familiar with Earthwork and Concrete applications would be a plus.
Additionally, a solid understanding of the means/methods of demolition will ensure the highest degree of success in this role.
Preferred but not a requirement, proficiency with bidding software, Slack, MS Office, MS Project, HCSS, Heavy Bid modeling with Revit, and BIM.
Estimator Responsibilities Attend pre-bid site visits for walk-through evaluations.
Review project plans and specifications Perform accurate quantity takeoff.
Prepare relevant documentation in response to bid and proposal requests.
Prepare and submit bids.
Write scope of work and review pricing for subcontractors.
Negotiate subcontracts and purchasing.
Develop change orders.
Prepare submittals.
Control project costs Locate vendors and retain pricing.
Job Requirements Familiarity with or willingness to learn estimating and proposal software.
Experience as an estimator with a large General Contractor or Demolition Company Good time-management skills Team-player attitude Strong interpersonal and communication skills Critical-thinking and problem-solving mindset Ability to multi-task Careful attention to detail Knowledge of Google Earth Ability to travel overnight occasionally, negotiable.
Aptitude/Abilities/Skills:

years previous related experience is recommended.
Must have strong organizational skills to handle the variety of tasks assigned.
Must be able to effectively communicate verbally with employees, external vendors, owners, and general contractors.
Demonstrated ability to manage budget, schedule, people, and quality of work.
Must be competent to performing complete and accurate project take offs and estimates.
