Job Overview:
As a Senior Cyber Threat Intel Analyst, you will play a crucial role in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cyber threats to safeguard our organization's critical assets.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the cyber threat landscape, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide actionable intelligence to enhance our cybersecurity posture.
Responsibilities:
Threat Intelligence Analysis:
Conduct in-depth analysis of cyber threats, including malware, vulnerabilities, and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used by threat actors.
Monitor and analyze open-source intelligence, dark web forums, and other relevant sources to stay ahead of emerging threats.
Incident Response:
Collaborate with incident response teams to provide timely and accurate threat intelligence during security incidents.
Contribute to the development of incident response playbooks based on threat intelligence findings.
Vulnerability Management:
Assess and prioritize vulnerabilities based on threat intelligence to guide patch management and mitigation efforts.
Provide recommendations for proactive measures to reduce exposure to potential threats.
Reporting and Communication:
Prepare and deliver comprehensive threat intelligence reports for executive leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams.
Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner to various audiences.
Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:
Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and industry peers to share threat intelligence and enhance collective cybersecurity capabilities.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts to develop their skills in threat intelligence analysis.
Tool Utilization:
Utilize threat intelligence platforms, security information and event management (SIEM) systems, and other relevant tools to enhance analysis capabilities.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing tools and processes to optimize threat intelligence workflows.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber threat intelligence analysis.
Industry certifications such as CISM, GIAC, or equivalent are preferred.
Proficiency in using threat intelligence platforms, SIEM systems, and other relevant cybersecurity tools.
Strong understanding of cyber threat actors, their motivations, and the evolving threat landscape.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
