6K a year 13 days ago 13 days ago 13 days ago We are currently seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to be responsible for providing financial reporting, costing, and heavy data analysis.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Perform costing and material analysis functions including bill of material structures setup Update new parts for bill of materials, routers, and overhead rates monthly Setup/revise (as required) bill of materials structures for assemblies and finished goods products in ERP system Setup/revise (as required) part numbers in ERP system Ensure part number effective dates are current to releases in ERP system Develop labor and burden rates required for standard cost development Setup labor and burden routings for assemblies and finished goods Roll standard costs as required Complete the annual standard cost revision Perform and report labor costing analysis Participate in the close process including labor variance, material variance and inventory analysis Compile documentation for financial audits Preparation and submittal of monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules to group office regarding specific GL account reconciliations and supplemental information used in consolidated corporate disclosures Analyze, adjust, and reconcile items of issue identified through month end close review Analyze and report weekly sales/cost of sales Assist in analyzing inventory levels and transactions for recording purposes Monitor cycle counts general ledger account Update current and frozen costs in system Verify purchase order pricing Assist in the preparation of the operating budget and forecasts on a monthly and annual basis Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided to determine effects on cost Make estimates of new and proposed product costs or prepare cost estimates for new products and product changes Review raw material and packaging standard costs for accuracy on an annual basis.
Review purchase price variance accounts monthly Prepare and process daily sales and labor reports Assess inventory control measures and develops measures to improve inventory accuracy in conjunction with logistics and operations Analyze and prepare journal entries at month end, quarter end, and year end close.
Assist in the enforcement and tracking of month end close deadline Develop and analyze material and labor variances to suggest improvements within the current process Create ad hoc reports, analysis and special projects as required by management REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, industrial engineering / costing or related field 5
years finance experience Strong Microsoft Excel skills to include VLOOKUPS, PivotTables, and advanced formulas Ability to maintain proper level of confidentiality, using discretion and tact Must be able to interact effectively with other team members Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment to meet customer requirements Job Type:
