Associate, Finance for Boulder, CO operational services company supporting private equity firm to handle finance-related, time-sensitive projects & project management; provide financial due diligence & target assessments; provide post-transaction financial support, including purchase accounting & valuations of intangible assets; assist with financial oversight of portfolio companies; serve as in-house expert on US GAAP, IFRS & corporate income tax issues; relate accounting & tax expertise to envisaged transactions; deliver regulatory updates; provide financial analysis of portfolio companies; review long-range planning & internal reporting; on-board new portfolio companies & develop reporting packages; chair audit committee for portfolio companies & oversee external auditors; analyze & develop financial data for sale-side transactions; make financial presentations to Boards; advise on internal controls for portfolio companies.
Requires Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA; 7 yrs.
progressive post-Bachelor's experience in public accounting, which includes 2 yrs.
experience managing assurance services; analyzing key valuation assumptions and inputs used to value companies; building purchase price allocation models consistent with Accounting Standards Codification 805; auditing corporate income tax provisions; and applying Accounting Standards Codification 740 to diverse fact patterns.
60% domestic & int'l travel req'd.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
