What you''ll do:
The Cook II is responsible for the proper and efficient frying and grilling of all meats, fish, fowl, or poultry. Accountable for the efficiency and operation of the areas of the kitchen they are assigned.

Responsibilities:
1. React to food orders in an efficient and proper manner, assuring presentations and procedures are being followed.
2. Ability to work the grill, deep fryer, saut and pantry stations proficiently.
3. Estimate and requisition supplies from Chef.
4. Prepare for rush periods.
5. Set up and break down the fry station in the kitchens daily.
6. Season food, add garnish, sauce or vegetables, on the order, as determined by the chef.
7. Perform job combinations as necessary in the kitchen.
8. Other job related duties as assigned.
9. Assure that the kitchen is closed down properly after each shift.
REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements:
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff.
3. Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
4. Ability to perform basic math.
What''ll make you special:
1. Previous experience necessary in hot and cold food production and execution.
2. Minimum five years of experience.
Certificate/License: City of Detroit Food Handler Permit.
Employment Type: Part-TimeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
