POSITION OVERVIEW
With general guidance the Associate will provide support for Global Infrastructure needs in internal and external IT systems or environments.
Set ups, configures and supports the Local Area Network (LAN) for the assigned office(s).
Responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving LAN security issues and performance within the local office.
Responsible for setting up new users, monitoring server activity, rebuilding computers, and rebuilding servers.
Maintains the office phone system by creating new users, moving phone locations and extensions, setting up email and troubleshooting phone system problems.
Identifies equipment and purchase requirements, in accordance with corporate guidelines, including: hard drives, phone equipment, hubs, switches, and other technical equipment.
Provides guidance and assistance to employees to ensure they have the right hardware and that it is configured properly.
Restores databases, files and email accounts as needed.

Basic understanding of:
Local Area Network / Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) technology.
Various storage technologies and their capabilities, such as: Storage Area Network (SAN), Network-Attached Storage (NAS), and Distributed Antenna System (DAS)
Various virtualization technologies.
Personal computers, servers and networks
Current technological developments/trends in area of expertise.
Federal copyright laws as they pertain to the use of computer software.
Requires ability to:
Perform first-level troubleshooting of basic IT Operations technologies and services
Communicate technical information to non-technical personnel, assessing audience need and adjusting level of detail accordingly
Identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operational problems
Provide a range of systems training and/or support activities for users
Prioritize competing demands, manage multiple concurrent tasks and adapt to changing priorities
Collaborate, demonstrate team orientation, and have dedication to meeting and exceeding expectations
Compose and verbally deliver information of varying levels, using appropriate grammar, tone, inflection and non-verbal cues, while also listening to and correctly deciphering verbal communication delivered by others
Communicate ideas, facts and data in writing using appropriate grammar, syntax and sentence structure; this includes work instructions using a defined template
Understand a situation by breaking it apart into smaller pieces, and/or tracing the implications of a situation in a step-by-step causal way
Create and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and/or customers
Develop business awareness and understanding of the business requirements of IT
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must have Baccalaureate degree in an appropriate IT field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems from an accredited U.S. college or university, equivalent foreign institution, or equivalent experience.
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) Certification preferred.
Current Microsoft certifications preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
