Lochbridge is searching for a Senior Web and Application Developer to join our client's web development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing customer facing websites and applications as well as APIs and back-end systems. The developer will also configure, maintain, and support various applications, databases and related web servers and operating systems.

Responsibilities:
Deliver websites, applications, and APIs using PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, HTML5 and CSS3 (each as appropriate).
Architect, administer, and analyze MySQL databases for best performance.
Produce system documentation, including use cases, test cases, and architectural diagrams.
Investigate possible system faults/shortcomings and provide solutions.
Provide integration with 3rd party applications that include but are not limited to PeopleSoft,
Google, etc. via REST and legacy SOAP APIs.
Support other IT related processes as needed.
Support district divisions in meeting deliverables and improving enrollment and educational standards.
Strong back-end development using PHP/JavaScript with MySQL. Some C# and NodeJS development may be required.
Knowledge of Object Oriented and MVC principles.
Experience with PHP frameworks (CakePHP, Zend, Laravel)
Substantial experience with relational database design and implementation.
Strong knowledge of web servers and configuration using Apache and Nginx.
Strong knowledge of Red Hat-based Linux systems (RHEL/CentOS).
Experience with Wordpress and Drupal.
Experience with Git (Stash & JIRA) version control system and Gitflow workflow.
Experience with scaffolding technologies like Composer, Grunt, and/or Vagrant a plus.
Familiarity with HTML5/CSS3. Experience with Twitter Bootstrap a plus.
Familiarity with interface design and/or user experience design principles a plus.
Role:
Tasks include but are not limited to the following:
Follow the entire SDLC process to deliver mission-critical websites, web apps, and APIs.
Suggest and implement improvements to processes and technology infrastructure.
Resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
Support a team of marketing professionals with ad-hoc content and infrastructure updates.
Resolve server-related issues and support vendor-provided software.
Position Requirements:
Five years of experience developing websites and applications using PHP, MySQL, NodeJS, or similar technology.
Ability to work without supervision and to make appropriate decisions.
Ability to process work with accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask large projects.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Effective written and oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel 10%

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
