About the Data Integration Software Developer role:
The Senior SAP XI/PI Software Developer solves technical problems and writes the actual code to build and support GM's Enterprise Integration needs. This role is responsible designing and creating code in an Agile and Waterfall fashion. The SAP XI/PI Software Developer will be responsible for the development of FRICEW objects, root cause analysis, advice and adoption of best practices, resolving trouble tickets, developing interface enhancements, maintaining development standards, interfacing with BASIS and other teams. The SAP XI/PI developer will interface and lead a team of experienced developers and architects on a global basis. The goal is to ensure that the designs and data integration processes are meeting GM requirements. This person will take the project from the initiation phase and see it through deployment. The SAP XI/PI Software Developer understands the value of the data integration process and the importance of building solutions that matter. Creativity, drive, and initiative are imperative to the success of the Data Integration Software Developer at GM.

Minimum
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years' experience in application development utilizing XI/PI - involving Web Services, File, RFC, XI, JMS, JDBC, IDOC, SOAP and HTTP technologies
Minimum 4 years' experience in application development utilizing PI
Extensive PI monitoring, architecture, and development knowledge
Experience supporting many A2A and B2B interfaces scenarios across all SAP functional areas
Good experience on Adapters, Secured/encrypted communication via PI and knowledge on PGP / SSL security
Demonstrated experience with large Enterprise ERP implementations in the areas of technical design specification, development, and knowledge transfer
Experience configuring the XI/PI Landscape in the System Landscape Directory using SAP Net Weaver Administrator (NWA). Experience with Alert Management is a plus
Experience within Enterprise Services Repository - Mappings XSLT, Java, and graphical mapping
Ability to effectively articulate and present complex concepts and ideas to IT development teams
Should be a self-learner and upgrade his/her skills to match up with the new and upcoming PI technologies like PI7.3
Understand various development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, waterfall, etc.)
Additional required/highly recommended skills to support this position are understanding the SAP Development Workbench, ABAP reporting and ALV technologies.
SAP Data Dictionary fundamentals, User exists and BADI skills including the new Enhancement Framework.
Form development knowledge in SAPScript, SmartForms and Adobe.
Preferred
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in IT industry
Ability to convert business requirements into technical specifications and designs as well as estimate the amount of effort necessary to complete the tasks
