The position of Changepoint Administrator includes application administration functions, as well as business process expertise, user support and technical support. The lists below identify the knowledge and support required within an organization using Changepoint and those areas which will usually be part of the Changepoint Administrator's position.
Product Knowledge:
An understanding of all Changepoint functionality and system administration utilities.
An in-depth understanding of Changepoint's System Manager module, specifically how to make modifications to system set-up and the implications of such changes.
Manage application configuration settings for an enterprise professional services automation application.
Set up user roles and permissions.
Maintain user accounts.
Configure custom fields and user interface layout.
Configure and maintain financial settings.
Control security access within the application.
Configure and maintain a Client Portal.
Design custom reports and reporting data providers.
Design workflows for financial processes, requests, projects, opportunities, and resource management.
Business Knowledge:
An understanding of the organization's business processes as they pertain to Changepoint software, particularly the areas of resource management, project management, time and expense entry and approval, and invoicing .
Ability to successfully manage organizational Changepoint roadmap for expansion of data collection, new processes, and feature implementation in order to provide value and return.
Ability to match the desired business process to Changepoint functionality and make modifications to either the process or Changepoint configuration.
Technical Knowledge (Infrastructure):
Knowledge of Windows Server Technology.
Knowledge of SQL and routine database administration functions.
Ability to create SQL views.
Knowledge of Microsoft IIS.
Knowledge of Internet access and security set-up.
Manage IIS and database server configuration.
Other Skills:
Ability to work with end users in a support capacity - answering questions, troubleshooting.
Ability to work with end users and management to specify custom reports or other customizations.
Ability to train Changepoint users.
Ability to work with all levels in the organization.
Assist with regular upgrades to the application software.
Troubleshoot user problems with the application.
Serve as a liaison to the software vendor in areas such as software configuration, feature requests, customizations, and bug fixes.
Perform additional duties as needed.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
