The Canon Solutions America Digital Field Service Engineer is responsible for repairing and maintaining Canon Solutions America (Oce) production printing products (Ultra-Fast, High Volume Printers) in accordance with Canon Solutions America Service and Parts Standards to achieve efficiency and a high level of customer satisfaction in a 24/7 field service environment.

Responsibilities
Supports Printing Systems equipment and customers operating their business 24/7.
Installs, maintains, and repairs company products and systems at customer sites, this includes hardware, software and networking products.
Uses diagnostic tools, service aids, and product schematics to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and system failures.
Uses the escalation process to inform Field Engineer, Field Service Manager, Specialist and Headquarters of unresolved issues, as well as, suggestions to improve equipment performance.
Manages parts inventory and territory to comply with established operating standards.
Performs and oversees machine factory modifications and software/operating systems upgrades on equipment to insure optimum performance.
Establishes and maintains face-to-face customer relations.
Has understanding of customers' entire workflow and associated print management applications.
Qualifications
A minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent training in Military/Trade School/Industry or equivalent experience or completion of an Electronics school or equivalent electronics training with one to five years of related experience.
Possess an understanding of computer platforms, general application software, and networking environments. A
Certification a plus.
Military background a huge plus!
Proven electro-mechanical skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
Must be able to work effectively and cooperatively with supervisors, other team members, and with customers, and must be able to clearly communicate technical information, both orally and in writing.
You must be able to effectively manage your own time, inventory and ensure that work is completed efficiently, including scheduling work to accommodate customer's needs and end user SLAs.
You must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
The ability to work in a 24/7 environment, perform shift work, and do on-call rotations as needed.
New technicians will participate in Canon's Production Print Solutions training program.
