Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes AApplying some knowledge of construction methods or techniques while conducting basic field observations of construction projects; taking test readings and recording findings; and reading plans and specifications. Inspecting contractor operations to ensure compliance with safety requirements. Participate in meetings with customers, contractors, and other stakeholders. Writing reports daily to document findings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06); B. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this grade level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. To qualify at the GS-08, you must have:

Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes Applying substantial knowledge of construction methods or techniques while independently conducting and reporting field observations of construction projects; inspecting non-complex equipment and materials; and ensuring compliance with plans and specifications. Participate in meetings with customers, contractors, and other stakeholders. Completing Safety inspections in accordance with established safety and health requirements. Writing reports daily to document findings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). B. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this grade level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. To qualify at the GS-09, you must have:

Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes interpreting plans, specifications, and other mechanical, civil, and electrical drawings. Facilitate meetings with customers, contractors, and other stakeholders. Inspecting a wide variety of construction methods, materials and practices; determining acceptability of materials and workmanship to ensure it conforms to established standards and practices; explaining requirements of plans and specifications. Interpret and manage schedules; develop cost estimates for higher review and approval. Completing Safety inspections in accordance with established safety and health requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). B. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
